Welcome! I am Allie Ryan and I am a passionate community leader, activist, artist, and documentary film producer and have been nicknamed the "Cargo Bike Mom". I am part of an active Union family. With a deep connection to the neighborhoods of the East Village, NoHo, Kips Bay, Gramercy, the Flatiron & Greenwich Village, I am committed to representing all constituent voices as I run for the NYC Council District 2 Democratic Party Nomination on June 24, 2025.
I am not shy about the issues that face City Council District 2.
I don't complain; I take ACTION.
I have built coalitions, participated in the government process, run successful campaigns and have presented ideas to solve the problems at hand.

In 2023 I ran as a Democratic City Council candidate and received nearly 40% of the vote. In 2021 I ran as an Independent under my own Neighborhood Party, quickly establishing myself as a political force to be reckoned with. Residents recognize me when I am out and about around the district and know that I am there for them, not special interests, trends, or business-as-usual politics.
